The Only Spot You Need

The Only Spot You Need in Downtown Disney District

Every Disneyland traveler makes this decision. But most guests don’t plan for it. What
are we talking about? This question: If you could only choose one place to eat in Downtown
Disney, where would it be? More likely than not, if you’re traveling to the Disneyland® Resort,
you will need to make a split-second decision on where to eat in Downtown Disney at some
point on your trip. So, what’s our answer to the best place to eat at Downtown Disney? Well, that
depends on the time of day!

Breakfast

If we can only choose one spot to eat breakfast in Downtown Disney, it’s Tiendita, hands
down. This casual Mexican pick-up restaurant is perfect for rope-dropping the parks. Their
Carne Asada breakfast burrito barely fits in your hand. And that steaming baby was the best
breakfast for my pregnant wife who needed to eat right now.
Pro-tip: Combine Tiendita with a mobile order at Starbucks. This is the part of the rope-
drop strategy that most families miss. When you wake up early to catch the magic of opening
hour, you don’t want to waste any time standing in line for your well-deserved cup of coffee.
Don’t worry, there’s plenty of time for that Disneyland cold brew once you’re in the parks.

Lunch & Dinner

Okay, we have to cheat. We’re picking two for this category: Black Tap Burgers and
Gordon Ramsey at the Carnaby.
Time for lunch? Sink your teeth into mouthwatering craft burgers at Black Tap featuring
wagyu beef, blue cheese, and house buttermilk-dill. Black Tap’s menu also provides the perfect
treats for the whole family to enjoy.

Treating your loved one to a fancy dinner? Gordon Ramsey at the Carnaby provides an
elevated, upbeat British vibe complete with the staples that made this chef famous. This spot
provides everything from beef wellington to bangers and mash and prime rib. But be sure to
make a reservation. Gordon Ramsay at the Carnaby has been a very popular spot since its grand
opening.

Treats and Drinks

Why is no one talking about the CrazyShake Window at Black Tap? The best way to
enjoy the live music and dazzling lights of Downtown Disney is with a crazy milkshake in your
hand. And they mean crazy. These are no ordinary milkshakes! Each signature shake comes with
two straws, an insane number of toppings, retro candies, and a slice of cake or another dessert.
Looking for something with a little more kick? Ballast Point, nestled in the heart of
Downtown Disney, boasts a beautiful rooftop patio that makes it our favorite spot for alcoholic
beverages in the district. Their food menu includes classic So-Cal smash burgers, flatbreads, and
fish tacos. But their beer is the main event. Ballast Point is absolutely “dedicated to the craft.”
They feature a rotating menu of smoothy ales, frothy lagers, and hoppy IPAs.

And when you stay with us here at Stovall’s Hotels, you stay steps away from the magic
of Downtown Disney. Whether you’re trying to catch a rope-drop breakfast, take a nap after the
perfect lunch, or turn in after a nightcap, your room is only minutes away when you walk to
Downtown Disney from Stovall’s.
