Anaheim has dozens of parks for barbequing, playground fun, volleyball tournaments, and much more. You never have to go far to surround yourself with some greenery, and many of the parks are connected to the biking and hiking trails around the city. Each park has a different collection of features and facilities, so it’s easy to find one that meets your needs. Here are just a few:
- Colony Park: Located at 501 E Water Street, you’ll find covered picnic tables perfect for dining al fresco, an open play area and children’s play area, as well as a gorgeous orange grove to explore.
- Colony Square: Close to Colony Park at 210 E Lincoln Avenue, this adult-preferred destination offers picnic tables and benches. It’s a popular spot for locals to take their lunch break.
- Cottonwood Park: At 835 W Cottonwood Circle, you have picnic areas, a children’s play area, and open play area at your disposal.
- Deer Canyon Park Preserve: Head to 7502 E Hollow Oak Road for picnic areas and hiking trail access. Restroom facilities and a stream make it an idyllic little getaway from the bustle of the city.
- Edison Park: Visit 1145 N Baxter Street for one of the most popular parks in the area. You’ll enjoy a 7.5 acre park with barbecues, an open play area and restroom facilities. A children’s play area and exercise stations make this the perfect destination for families. There are also basketball courts, unlit softball fields, and a volleyball court.
- Energy Field Park: At 1625 S 9th Street, the 2.6 acres park was opened in 2009 with a children’s play area, restrooms, open play area with synthetic turf, and group picnic shelters.
- Eucalyptus Park: Visit 100 N Quintana Drive and take advantage of a ten-acre park lined with eucalyptus trees. There are barbecues, a bike trail, children’s play area and group picnic shelter, open play area, basketball court, and unlit softball fields.
