There are some incredible vessels permanently docked in the Anaheim area which have been converted into museums and theaters. Discover some of the previously active-duty ships during your trip, like the USS Midway, which was an aircraft carrier. So large that it initially couldn’t access the Panama Canal, it served in the military for over 40 years before retiring in the 1990s.
Now, the USS Midway is one of the most popular attractions in the southern California region. Docents are readily available and all are veterans of various military branches. Get lost in the halls and rooms of this incredible ship, take an audio guide to learn more about its history, and spend your spring break exploring a part of California few see!

There’s also the USS IOWA, which is home to the Pacific Battleship Center and features one area that’s been converted into an 80-seat theater. Visitors of all ages adore the ships, and it’s an excellent way to break up a busy trip of Disneyland and shopping.
