The Anaheim House of Blues was founded over three decades ago, and it had a powerful mantra truly far ahead of its time in North America: Unity in Diversity. The pursuit of love, community, peace, and acceptance has guided the House of Blues’ cultural development to what it is today. It continues to gain both new meaning and application over time passes. House Blues is committed to using its venues, platform, and voice to advocate for human expression, spiritual harmony, and racial equality.
The mission of this famous site is to celebrate, demonstrate, and display the power of music to bring people together. Its founders drew inspiration from art, spiritual tenets, and world culture to create a welcoming environment that inspires the mantra, Unity in Diversity. The mission’s view is philanthropic and progressive, as demonstrated by the original mission: To create a profitable global entertainment company to celebrate the brotherhood and diversity of world cultures. And to promote racial and spiritual harmony through peace, truth, love, righteousness, and non-violence.
House of Blues venues are home to the biggest permanently displayed Outsider and American Folk Art Collection, often referred to as Southern Vernacular art. Over 150 self-taught and predominantly African-American artists are represented in this place, featuring artwork as diverse as the music the House of Blues stages.
This popular site manifests an inside-out culture by embedding its mission and values throughout the organization. It strives to create an ethos of creative expression and cultural understanding through music and art. Its unique pursuit of peace, community, love, and acceptance daily guides the organization’s cultural development. Anaheim House of Blues is an incredible new home for live music, with its distinctive environments under one roof.
