Get a head start on New Year’s resolution and wobble before you gobble with a variety of Anaheim-area fun runs throughout the month of November. The Peace Love Run on November 5th is located in the heart of Los Angeles and offers a half marathon, 10k and 5k. The festive course is Mardi Gras themed and costumes or masks are encouraged. Cajun-themed goodies await at the finish line.
REVEL Canyon City in Azusa on November 4th is a full marathon, or you can opt for the half marathon option. It’s famous for taking runners downhill almost the entire way, making it one of the fastest races in the country—and a Boston qualifier. If you’re looking for a new kind of challenge, remember that it’s all downhill from here!
Races and Runs
For ultra runners, nothing beats the Chino Hills Trail Run Series event on November 11th with a 50k or 30k trail run. Located in Brea, it’s known for being a gentle introduction to trail races (or as gentle as such a long run can be). All runners start with a 10k, and many stick to that route to get a taste of the trails.
Check out the Muckfest MS Los Angeles on November 11th, a muddy 5k race that’s built for fun and laughs. Sign up as a team or solo and get ready for spills, thrills and a whole lot of mud. A free soda or beer awaits at the finish line, and spectators are welcome at no charge. Kids love the free Lil’ Muckers area.
