Can You Handle the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail?

Disneyland Hotel News

Located at Disney California Adventure, the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail is a sprawling network of trails that simulate the redwood forests up north. From a rock climbing wall to zip lines and rope bridges, the massive network is home to “Spirit Cave” where you can discover your very own spirit animal. Originally opened in 2001, it was re-vamped in 2003 to align with Brother Bear and again in 2009 for Up. Do you have what it takes to complete the challenge?

With help from wilderness explorer Dug and Russell from Up¸ you and your little one will learn how to maneuver through wooded paths. Suspended slides and surprises await in this truly wild experience. Once you earn your Wilderness Explorer Badge, you’ll receive an invitation to the Senior Wilderness Explorer Ceremony. But first, you’ll learn tracking, the wolf howl, solve puzzles and you’ll have plenty of park rangers nearby for help.

A Walk on the Wild Side

Get as much or as little guidance as you like—visitors are welcome to explore the paths on their own. Armed with a map, bravery is put to the test as you discover the courage required to make it to the other side. Ceremonies for those who complete the challenge take place throughout the day. Check the entertainment schedule on site for times and special events.

All visitors under 14 must be accompanied by a parent, and some challenges (like zip lines) have height requirements. January is the perfect time to test your skills with cooler weather, fewer crowds and plenty of excitement ahead.
