Roll Into the Top Sushi Hot Spots

January 10th, 2016

Anaheim knows how to roll (and it’s not all California rolls!). When you’re traveling along the Pacific coast, you need to try out all the sushi, sashimi and fresh seafood you can. Biyako is a simple, tasty and family-friendly establishment just a few miles from Stovalls Inn. Yosuke Sushi is another winner, serving classic Japanese fare that’s delicious, always fresh and affordable.

Try Orange Roll and Sushi, Orange County’s popular sushi joint that fuses classic dishes with an Americana twist. Chomp Rockin’ Sushi and Teppan Grills serves sushi and other seafood dishes with extra flair—you wouldn’t expect anything less from a restaurant that’s seen a celebrity or two in attendance. No matter how you roll, you can rock it in Anaheim!

Roll Up!

Sushi Town on Lincoln Avenue gives you everything you expect in a sushi joint. Great rolls, good prices, and fast service. There’s also Sushi at Sushi which is (you guessed it!) all sushi, all the time. However, their other dishes are definitely worth checking out. Kagura Restaurant is a more sophisticated establishment, serving only dinner.

Try Ohshima Japanese Cuisine for an intimate setting, Sake Sushi and Grill for lunch, or Sushi Teriyaki for an expansive menu that’s sure to please everyone in your party. Nothing compares to sushi in southern California, and you have a tough choice to make!

Best Burger Joints in Anaheim

January 1st, 2016

Orange County takes your classic American burger and kicks it up a few notches. If you’re craving the most iconic of patriotic dishes, look no further than right by your hotel. Angelo’s Hamburgers is retro styled with a roller skating wait staff, serving the classics like thick malted milkshakes, only the freshest ingredients, and hand cut fries. Slater’s 50/50 Café is famous for their bacon-beef burgers with perfectly crafted beers on the side.

Varsity Burger is a local chain that’s everything you wish other fast food joints could live up to. At Umami Burger, you get gourmet hamburgers with every possible topping you can imagine—get creative and make your own! Ted’s Burgers is an OC staple, open until midnight, and a popular destination for late night cravings.

The Perfect Burger

Burger Boy is close to a college campus, open until 11pm, and serves one of the most delectable burgers in town (and affordably priced!). At Jim’s Super Burgers, you’ll find fresh and local ingredients, traditional style, and just what you need to satiate your cravings. Head to Knowlwood, another local chain—but the flagship location is tucked into the heart of Anaheim.

Ruby’s Diner is a vintage charmer, taking you back to the 1950s and specializing (of course) in burgers, fries and shakes. Maybe you want to try Rally’s, Christos Best or Daniel’s Burgers. No matter which restaurant you choose, nothing trumps the quest for the ultimate California burger.
